Legacy accounting platforms were designed for humans to operate manually. Rebased is designed for AI agents to perform the work, with humans providing oversight, approval and strategic direction.

The goal is not to build better accounting software.
The goal is to build the system businesses use to run themselves.

John has spent more than fourteen years working with accounting software across multiple businesses.
After building accounting and fintech products on top of incumbent platforms, he became convinced that the future required a completely new foundation.
Rebased is the result of that belief.
